How A Good Golf Swing Follow Through Helps You Hit Better Golf Shots
Golf instructors will often focus on the backswing and the downswing when instructing their students, but I’m going to share with you how focusing on your follow through can actually improve your golf shots and your golf swing in general.
First of all, the proper position of a good follow through is where the golfer has swung the golf club over their left shoulder (for the right handed player). The body should be turned and facing towards the intended target. Also, the weight has shifted to the front or left foot and the golfer is almost completely up on the right toe. Being able to hold your follow through position for several seconds will help lead to being more balanced in your swing.
The US Open Tournament Returns
Golf fans around the world rejoice; The U.S. Open is almost here. The U.S. Open, one of golf’s major tournaments, begins on June 16th. If this year’s tournament is anything like the last, in which Irishman Graeme McDowell edged out the competition to beat fan favorites Ernie Els, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, making him the first Irishman to accomplish that feat in the history of the tournament, it will be an exhilarating one.

The last time the Open was played at Congressional Country Club was in 1997, when Ernie Els took home his second championship.
